He is remembered for his shout “Clear a Path!” to the soldiers standing around while chasing evil robots and his words “Damn, I’m good!” after finishing Sideways (one of the Decepticons) who played by the Audi R8 V10 on the Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen movie. He is one of the Autobots who was born with combat instincts and natural fighting techniques. He is Sideswipe played by Silver Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept.
He is a fighter expert, the wheels on his feet and sword-shaped hands ready to split the body of his enemies, agile somersault with his slim body, moves with the wheels like a skating motion, in a flash he was in front of his enemies, rip and kill them. Together with Dino (Ferrari 458 Italia), Que (Mercedes Benz E550) and Bumblebee (2011 fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro) which is still Sam Witwicky’s guardian (played by Shia LaBeouf), Carly Spencer’s boyfriend (played by Rosie Huntington Whiteley) and other Autobots in the Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon movie, this time Sideswipe played by Silver Chevrolet Corvette Centennial Convertible.
The upgraded Corvette Stingray Concept becoming the new Chevrolet Corvette Centennial Convertible made Sideswipe more powerful. His Appearance in the Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon was when along with Bumblebee, Dino and Que tried to take over power plants in the Middle East and other time he helped Ironhide (played by a GMC Topkick C4500 pickup truck) to finish off the Trio Decepticons (the Dreads: Crankcase, Crowbar and Hatchet) and saw Ironhide killed by Sentinel Prime who betrayed the Autobots.
Transformers 3 Sideswipe also become one of the Autobots who was captured by the Decepticons (Barricade, Soundwave and several other Decepticons) in a battle in Chicago along with Bumblebee, Rachet (played by Search and Rescue car, Hummer H2), Que and Dino who later managed to escape except for the Transformers 3 Que who was killed by Decepticons. The Chevrolet Corvette Centennial Convertible, Sideswipe survived until the end even though he fell to the ground when he gets slammed by Sentinel Prime’s arm in battle.
The Chevrolet Corvette Centennial Convertible which played as the Transformers 3 Sideswipe is a sport car upgraded from the Corvette Stingray Concept car, General Motors production.
Corvette Centennial itself is a special edition car created to commemorate 100 years of Chevrolet’s performance heritage which is the first running of the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race/Indy 500. The special edition package is available on all models including the Grand Sport, Z06 and ZR1. The 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Centennial Edition is offered in one color, black and sleek with a ferocious and sinister appearance, unique design with Carbon Flash Metallic with satin black graphics, red brake calipers and satin black wheels which are lightweight cast spun alloys with a thin red outline around the perimeter. At the wheels of the Z06 and ZR1 models have 19 inch at the front wheels and 20 inch at the rear while the Coupe, Convertible and Grand Sport models are equipped with 18 inch at the front wheels and 19 inch at the rear.
The first sale of 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Centennial Edition marked by auction at the Barrett-Jackson auction in West Palm Beach, Fla. last April with the proceeds to benefit the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer with a car that has a vehicle identification number (VIN) ending in “00100” as the 100th 2012 Corvette off assembly line. This remarkable car has Z07 performance package that features Brembo carbon ceramic brakes and Magnetic ride control, the CFZ carbon fiber package which includes raised carbon fiber hood, sill extensions, front splitter and roof.
