The New Volkswagen Passat

The New Volkswagen Passat will be produced with three variants of engine, namely

- 2.5 L petrol engine, 5-cylinder that produces 170 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque with a 5 speed manual transmission standard, this is the first engine offered by Volkswagen, the optional 2.5 multi-port injection engine can be paired with six-speed automatic.

- Fuel-efficient engine 2.0 L TDI Clean Diesel, 4 cylinder and produces 140 horsepower and 236 lb.-ft. of torque (TDI Engine of VW Passat Bluemotion Technology versions that broke the Guinness Book of World Records as the most efficient car) which has a 6-cylinder gasoline engine power and fuel economy of hybrids which is expected to give fuel consumption of 43 mpg on the highway and comes with NOx storage catalytic converter. Another alternative is the Volkswagen Passat TDI with a six speed DSG transmission.

- The new Passat a top-flight sport sedan 3.6 L VR6 that produces 280 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft, six-speed DSG standard with an estimated fuel consumption 28 mpg on the highway. European-style sport sedan Passat combines technologically advanced six-speed transmission with dual-clutch automatic system without the need of clutch pedal that offers strength and comfort of the luxury class.

The New VW Passat looks more expensive than the real with the appearance of a new face on its exterior with the grille and headlamps into a single unit, grille sculpted in three-dimensional shape, the roof lines flow toward the back with a nearly coupe-like cut of the rear window. Three side windows create a class style luxury with a long extended glass surface visible on its side and the design of the two-part taillights (integrated in the rear fenders and trunk lid) the development of Walter de Silva, head of Italian design for Volkswagen Group and Klaus Bischoff, Leader of the German design for the Volkswagen Brand.
