It’s only 40% of the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren Roadster price, can you believe it?

After the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG was introduced in early September 2011 with some extra customization, in late September 2011 introduced SLS AMG Roadster which was officially introduced at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Several different versions have been introduced since 2009 such as a Desert Gold version, a GT3-spec racing version, a Black Bird version and a Black Series version.

The 2012 Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster has the specifications and dimensions are the same as the coupe but with conventional doors and soft top (folding fabric top). You will get more comfort than you can imagine, it takes only 11 seconds to lower the automatic three-layer fabric roof of aluminum, magnesium and steel around its bones without interfering with trunk space which has a capacity of .1 cu ft and can be operated up to 31 miles per hour. It’s more fun and definitely much cheaper than the SLR McLaren Roadster (worth half a million dollars), SLS AMG Roadster with base price $ 198,000.

Engine Power

The 2012 Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster comes with a V8 engine with a capacity of 6.3 liters (6.208 liters), seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with an output of 571 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 479 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm, acceleration from 0 – 100 km/h (0 – 62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 317 km/h (197 mph).

Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster comes with an aluminum body panel and the same engine as the coupe. Some differences for comparison, the body is five pounds heavier than the coupe as some additional such as the thicker side sills to strengthen, additional behind the instrument panel, an additional between soft top and gas tank, center tunnel, an additional between the strut towers of the rear suspension and the result, the curb weight is 3,660 lb and the Roadster is 88 lb heavier than the gullwing.

Interesting Features

SLS AMG Roadster provides feature, the AMG Ride Control suspension mode with adaptive damping for setting your car primarily to sharpen the throttle and the transmission and suspension responses which you can select by rotating a switch, C for “Controlled Efficiency” makes you more comfortable, S for “Sport”, S+ for “Sport Plus”, for pleasure with firmest damping and easy to slide the rear end a bit and M for “Manual”

With the AMG Performance Media feature, Mercedes Benz AMG allowing you to monitor everything from the navigation screen starting from the car acceleration, fluid temperatures, braking performance, engine power and torque output to G-forces. This system also includes an Android base internet connection which available when the car is stationary. If you don’t have time to watch the screen while you are driving, you can download the information onto a USB stick to be seen later.

Other features, the Aircraft system in the headrests to blow climate-controlled, leather-lined roll-hoops, Alcantara-bound A-pillars, eight airbags, 1,000-watt B&O Sound System, the size of wheels and tires, 265/35ZR-19 inches at the front and 295/30ZR-20 inches at the rear.

With Dimensions of length, width and height of 182.6 x 76.3 x 49.6 inches, driving an open roof luxury car makes you really relaxed, ran with a folding roof luxury car like Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster really elegant.
