Debut new 2012 Volkswagen Jetta GLI, affordable and sporty with increased engine performance and comfort was announced by Volkswagen of America, Inc. on February 8, 2011. The Jetta GLI is a sedan version of the Golf GTI and the new Jetta GLI with engine TSI 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline which can generates 200 horsepower and a full 207 lb.-ft. of torque at just 1,700 rpm and has a fully independent suspension like the Volkswagen Jetta European version.
The new Jetta GLI is lighter than previous Jetta GLI offers two transmission system options, first is with track-tuned four-way Independent Performance Suspension, six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment and the second is the Direct Shift Gearbox automatic transmission dual clutch (® DSG automatic) and XDS ® cross differential system (helps prevent the wheel during cornering).
